TIMELINE
“Las Torres Patagonia has a generational commitment to the regeneration and longevity of this beautiful Chilean region. More than ever, it is prudent to acknowledge the changing landscape and take action for its survival. We are thrilled to welcome passionate travelers to not only contribute to the future of one of the most beautiful destinations in the world, but also experience it firsthand through voluntourism.”
Josian Yaksic Kusanovic
CEO of Las Torres Patagonia
"I came here 20 years ago and hiked up to the towers and at that time I thought this is the one of the most beautiful landcapes on the planet and it has one of the worst trails on the planet and that´s just not right. So what we are doing is building a new sustainable trail between the historic trail and the Ascencio river and it´s going to be a gentle grade. It will be a pleasent walking experience and instead of what you currently have is a very steep eroded damaged landscape. What we are trying to do is work together to share knowledge and skills on how to build a sustainable trail."

“Our goal here is to teach Trail building techniques to the two crews that Las Torres has hired. A lot of the members of both crews I believe there´s 10 people in total have had some experience building mountain biking trails, so they come with already decent amount of knowledge.”
